Kate Walsh designs experiences, builds communities, unlocks resources, and creates the conditions for change.
Over the past 25 years, she's worked at the intersection of strategy, philanthropy, campaigns, food, events and systems change, helping organisations turn ambitious ideas into movements that people genuinely want to be part of.
Her career has taken her from Sydney to New York City and back to the Northern Rivers, working with organisations including GetUp, Slow Food USA, TEDxByronBay, Women's Environmental Leadership Australia and Renew. Along the way she's launched giving circles, produced festivals, designed national campaigns, raised millions for purpose-driven organisations, built partnerships and created experiences that bring people together around ideas that matter.
Kate began her career in activism and digital strategy before following an enduring fascination with the power of gathering. She went on to found a food events company, run cooking schools and write cookbooks, experiences that reinforced her belief that some of the most important work happens around a shared table.
Throughout her career, one question has remained constant: How do we bring people together around ideas that matter?
That question continues to shape her work today. As an independent strategist, facilitator and adviser, Kate works with organisations navigating growth, change and complexity, helping them build stronger communities, clearer strategies and more meaningful partnerships.
She is also the founder of In Good Company, a collaborative studio that brings together a trusted network of experienced strategists, creatives and changemakers to tackle ambitious projects that benefit from collective thinking.
Kate lives in the Northern Rivers of New South Wales and believes that good strategy begins with curiosity, good relationships and bringing the right people into the room.
Let’s work together.
